Tri-County Football

Two things, one i know are average team weigh was 151. With that being said, Us ,and JJk were the two SMALLEST teams last year in Tri- county junior division. Also, our backfield was just as, if not bigger than most of our offensive front 5. Same can be said about JJK also. Now the weight is cut to 150, with both of our teams over that mark already. (Cause what we want to do is take our fastest, and most elusive backs that will play speacilty postions in highschool, and tell them your too big to run the ball because we cut the weight.) That makes a lot of sense! RIGHT! Well as far as the 2 organizations that voted against it like the devils did, I look at is as a way tri-county is trying to even the playing field against our junior programs. Like I said it's just my opinion.

If that is a fact, then new tri-county reps will be put in there!

Jeff,

I am glad Darren stepped up on this and told you how your reps voted; however Alton voted for the change because that was the only way to save the Juniors division (by my vote count because if we left it at 160, we wouldn't have 2/3 vote needed). That may have been what was the deciding factor, as my boys can always play middle school ball and yours cannot.

Well i've heard the middle school threat last year, AND the year before, and the year before, and so on. Our reps voted against our club. IF THAT IS A FACT! This will be addressed. How many clubs decided the juniors weight that doesn't have a junior program. If you coach the juniors i guess when you cut our weight, with the biggest players, it just doesn't make sense. With us having on of the smaller programs with kids already over the weight of 150 who should play in the backfield it doesn't make sense either. Like I said before, Just my opinion.
